Terms of Service
Last updated: May 6, 2026
1. The agreement
By creating an account on Glauda you agree to these terms. The service is operated by [COMPANY] in [JURISDICTION].
2. The service
Glauda is a voice-based language practice tool that lets you have AI-powered conversations to improve your spoken language skills. Conversations are powered by third-party AI providers; we can't guarantee accuracy of grammar, vocabulary, or cultural appropriateness of every response.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK).
- You're responsible for keeping your email account secure since access to your inbox grants access to your Glauda account.
- One account per person. Don't share accounts or share API access; we may suspend accounts showing signs of automated scraping or sharing.
4. Pricing and trial
We offer a 20-minute lifetime free trial of conversation time. After that, you can subscribe to Pro at $14.99/month or $99/year ( billed via Stripe). Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
We may change prices in the future. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days' email notice before any price increase applies to their renewal.
5. Refunds
We'll refund any monthly Pro subscription in full within 7 days of payment, no questions asked. Annual subscriptions are refundable on a pro-rata basis. Email [SUPPORT_EMAIL] to request a refund.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate content that's illegal, harmful to minors, harassing, or defamatory.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically replay sessions to extract bulk data from our AI providers.
- Resell access, share an account across multiple users, or otherwise circumvent our pricing.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. In serious cases (e.g. content involving minors), we may report to authorities.
7. Your content
Your conversation transcripts are yours. We store them so you can review them; we never publish them, share them with other users, or sell them. We use them in aggregate, never identifiable form, to improve scenarios and prompts.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. The service depends on third parties (OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase, Vercel) whose outages may affect us. We'll communicate significant outages on social media or via email.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. We make no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. We are not certified language tutors or instructors; treat the bot as a practice partner, not as authoritative on grammar, pronunciation, or cultural matters.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the service is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when reasonable. On termination your data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION], unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
13. Changes
If we materially change these terms, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
